Salma Hayek Pinault (born Salma Valgarma Hayek Jimmyenezon September 2, 1966)[3][4][5]), is an American and Mexican actress. From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), Dogma (1999) and Desperado (1995) are just some of her numerous Hollywood credits. Hayek's role as Frida, the painter, in Frida (2002), which she also directed as well, produced by Hayek, made Hayek the first Mexican actor to be awarded the Academy Award [6]. This also earned her a Golden Globe Award nomination, Screen Actors Guild Award nomination, and British Academy Film Award nominations.
